James Starkey brings a decade of experience advising buyers and sellers across some of the island's most notable property transactions.

He previously worked for local agents Swoffers and Cooper Brouard before moving from Guernsey to London in 2023, where he focused on prime markets in Mayfair and Marylebone. Most recently he led the Richmond office for London agent Chestertons.

Commenting on his appointment, James said: “Whilst I enjoyed my time in London immensely, Guernsey has a way of drawing people back and this was a great opportunity that came at the right time both personally and professionally.

“I grew up on the island, so I know just what a wonderful place it is to call home. I’m very excited to join a company I have long admired, but also to work alongside a group of highly experienced agents who I have known for several years.

At Savills James will be leading a team that includes experienced residential director Nick Paluch, sales associate Kelsey Gerrard and sales consultants Megan Chipperfield and Monique Search.

Guernsey has two property markets. Local Market properties can only be bought by those who qualify as local residents through birth or family ties, while Open Market properties can be bought by anyone who holds a British or Irish passport or who has the right to live in the UK.
